| Description: | Responsible for contacting insurance companies to obtain treatment authorizations and other pertinent information required for patient registration and financial evaluation; assures documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner so patient authorizations do not run out. Verifies insurance coverage for all mental health patients. H.S. diploma or equivalent required. Plus, one to three years experience in a Healthcare setting which utilizes medical terminology. Basic computer skills required. |
